2 dead, 2 critically injured in Hacienda Heights car crash

HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) —

Two people were killed and two were critically injured in a car crash in Hacienda Heights Sunday night.

The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. near the State Route 60 off-ramp to 7th Avenue. Authorities say the collision occurred between a white pickup truck and a black sedan.

The impact of the crash caused the black sedan to overturn off the freeway and land in a nearby Denny’s parking lot.

Authorities closed off the eastbound freeway off-ramp to investigate the scene.
