7-year-old Adelanto boy dies following accidental shooting

ADELANTO, Calif. (KABC) —

A 7-year-old boy was killed after getting a hold of a gun and accidentally shooting himself in Adelanto on Thursday.

Authorities responded to the 18000 block of Bellflower Street at 4:54 p.m.

The child was rushed to Victor Valley Global Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators are on scene. No further information was immediately available.
