Bicyclist killed after being dragged in hit-and-run crash in Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) —
An investigation is underway after a bicyclist was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Highland Park early Friday morning.
The cyclist was found dead on the street at North Figueroa and Avenue 40 around 3 a.m.
Police spoke with witnesses, who say the cyclist was dragged by the vehicle for an unknown distance.
Authorities are searching for a smaller black vehicle, possibly a Nissan Altima, missing the front bumper.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released but was described as being in his or her early 20s.
