An early-morning traffic accident killed a 48-year-old pedestrian from Northern California along a major street in Chino, say San Bernardino County coroner’s officials.

Stockton resident Raymond Sam Prudhomme III died at the scene of the 5:08 a.m. crash Monday, Sept. 21, along Euclid Avenue north of Bickmore Avenue, roughly three-quarters of a mile southwest of Chino Airport.

Prudhomme had been walking west across Euclid Avenue when he was hit by a southbound motorist, coroner’s investigators said in a written statement.
