Crash involving possible wrong-way driver kills 2 in Lake Elsinore area

Two people were dead and another two were injured – one seriously – after a white sedan and a black hatchback truck collided on Ortega Highway (74) in the Lake Elsinore area early Sunday.
CalFire/Riverside County Fire Department said the crash occurred near Hammack Street just before 2:30 a.m.
One person from each vehicle was killed, according to the California Highway Patrol log.
Reports from the scene indicated the crash may have occurred after one of the vehicles was traveling in the wrong direction, leading to a head-on crash.
