A driver in a two-car collision in Hesperia that resulted in the death of a 27-year-old Oak Hills woman early Thursday morning, July 30 was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.
San Bernardino County sheriff’s investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the collision that occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Amargosa Road and Key Pointe Drive.
A white GMC Sierra going south on Amargosa crossed the double yellow lane into northbound traffic, striking a red Kia Forte head-on.
Andrea Anderson, who was driving the Kia, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, according to a coroner’s news release.
Christopher Nash, 31, who was driving the GMC, was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on $250,000 bail.
