Traffic slowed on eastbound Highway 60 in Jurupa Valley after a fiery three-vehicle crash Sunday, May 3, officials said.
Emergency crews responded at 7:20 p.m. to the crash on the 60 east of the 15 Freeway, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said in a news release.
The collision involved a big rig, a flatbed tow truck and a passenger vehicle. The tow truck was engulfed in flames under an overpass, and crews put out the fire, officials said.
The big rig’s tank ruptured, spilling about 15 gallons of diesel. The fuel spilled in a dirt area next to the right shoulder, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person went to a hospital with minor injuries, Cal Fire said.
