San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials rescued a 50-year-old woman who fell into a creek after losing control of her offroad vehicle in an area east of Lake Arrowhead.
Blanca Tenorio, 50, of Rimforest, lost control in the remote area Sunday, Sept. 6. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries when she crashed, Cpl. Mike Gilley said in a telephone interview.
However, because of the remoteness of the area, the San Bernardino County Fire Department recommended Tenorio be airlifted, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Tenorio was strapped into a metal litter and airlifted by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Air Rescue to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment, according to the release.
