A man and a woman were hospitalized in a crash in Lake Elsinore Saturday, Oct. 17, and investigators suspect alcohol was involved, a sheriff’s official said.
Lake Elsinore resident Daniel Fritch, 46, was driving with a female passenger on Lakeshore Drive near Cowell Street when, about 2:11 a.m., he lost control and hit a guard rail, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Todd Grimm in a news release.
The vehicle rolled down an embankment and landed on its wheels. Both occupants were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Grimm said.
Investigators determined alcohol may have been a factor in the collision, but the investigation is ongoing, Grimm wrote.
