Long Beach Transit bus driver trapped after crash in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) —
The driver of a Long Beach Transit bus was trapped after crashing into a traffic light pole in Lakewood on Wednesday.
The collision was reported at about 6:10 p.m. at Woodruff Avenue and Centralia Street. A white pick-up truck was also involved in the crash.
Five people were taken to a hospital. One person was treated at the scene.
Firefighters were on scene attempting to extricate the driver. The Los Angeles County Urban Search and Rescue team was headed to the scene.
At about 6:50 p.m., the bus driver remained trapped.
