Los Angeles sheriff’s inmate bus, car crash on 170 Freeway in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) —
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department bus carrying juvenile inmates was involved in a crash on the southbound 170 Freeway in North Hollywood on Monday.
The bus crashed into a civilian vehicle near the Magnolia Boulevard exit around 6:30 a.m. The bus was carrying seven juvenile inmates.
Four juvenile inmates and one sheriff’s deputy suffered minor injuries in the accident. A second sheriff’s bus was tailing the first bus, but it was not involved in the collision.
Traffic was snarled for miles, and morning commuters were advised to take alternate routes.
