PALM SPRINGS: Crash closes North Gene Autry Trail

Both northbound and southbound traffic on North Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs was stopped Wednesday, Aug. 19, due to a car crash.

The crash closed North Gene Autry Trail between Via Escuela and Interstate 10, according to a Palm Springs Police Department advisory issued about 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The Police Department advises drivers to “avoid North Gene Autry (Trail) and Interstate 10” and to “please use Ramon (Road) or Indian (Trail) to come into or exit Palm Springs.”
