Possible F/A-18 fighter jet crash in Kings County near Naval Air Station Lemoore: CHP

FRESNO, Calif. —

Authorities with the Kings County Fire Department confirm they are investigating a plane crash. It happened within the hour in the area of Highway 198 and the Avenal cutoff, which is just outside the Naval Air Station Lemoore.
Highway patrol officers are also on their way to the scene after hearing reports of a possible F/A-18 down in that area.
