A Rancho Cucamonga motorcycle rider died Friday, July 25, in a T-bone accident in Rancho Cucamonga, officials said.

Salvador Robledo, 60, about 7:15 p.m. Friday was riding a green 1993 Honda Shadow northbound on Vineyard Avenue when he approached a red light at Carnelian Street, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release.

Robledo ran the red light, according to witness reports, and T-boned a gray 2008 Mazda CX7 that was turning south onto Vineyard Avenue.

The impact threw Robledo from the motorcycle, the news release said. He landed next to another vehicle stopped at the intersection.

He was transported via ambulance to the San Antonio Regional Hosptial in Upland where he died in the emergency room.

The driver of the Mazda, a 32-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man, was uninjured, officials said.
