A Riverside man died and a pregnant woman was hospitalized Thursday, Nov. 12, in a three-car crash Thursday, Nov. 12, in Riverside.

The crash was reported at 9:43 p.m. at the intersection of Tyler Street and Hole Avenue, according to a Riverside Fire Department news release. The woman’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, authorities said.

The pregnant woman was a passenger in a Scion driven by the man who died, according to a Riverside Police Department news release. The Scion was traveling north on Tyler Street when it entered the Hole Avenue intersection.

The Scion was broadsided by a Chrysler 300 that was traveling east on Hole Avenue, the news release said. After that crash, a Toyota Tacoma crashed into the Chrysler 300.�

The Scion’s driver died at the crash scene. His identity was not released Friday.

The drivers and occupants of the Tacoma And the Chrysler 300 suffered minor injuries in the crash, and opted not to be transported to a hospital.

That intersection remained closed Friday while the Riverside Police Department investigated the crash.
