An elderly woman who was killed in a crash on Highway 91 in Riverside Monday, June 15, has been identified.
Feryl Harris, 73, of Pennsboro, was pronounced dead at 2:47 p.m. on the scene of the crash 54 feet west of Monroe Street, the Riverside County coroner announced.
The crash was reported at 2:26 p.m. on the eastbound side when a Nissan Altima slammed into the back of the Ford Focus in which Harris was riding. The impact sent the Focus barrelling into the fast lane where it hit a Ford F150, CHP officials said.
The truck in turn crashed into other vehicles causing a pile-up that triggered a SigAlert and a major traffic jam, officials said.
