TEMECULA: One dead in two-vehicle crash

One person died Friday morning, Jan. 15, in a two-car crash in east Temecula.
The person — whose name, age and gender have not been released — was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, in the� 42780 Butterfield Stage Road, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release.
The news release did not clearly say what caused the crash. After the two cars collided, one was on fire and the other collided with a hydrant. It’s unclear which vehicle the person who died was in. The other driver suffered minor injuries in the crash and was not transported to a hospital.
