Trapped bus driver freed from wreckage after crash in Lakewood
LAKEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) —
A Long Beach Transit bus driver was freed after crashing into a traffic light pole in Lakewood on Wednesday.
The collision was reported at about 6:10 p.m. at Woodruff Avenue and Centralia Street. A white pick-up truck was also involved in the crash.
Five people were taken to a hospital. One person was treated at the scene.
Firefighters extricated the bus driver shortly before 8 p.m. He was transported to a local hospital with traumatic injuries.
