The accident that killed two people in Victorville on Sunday, Aug. 30, happened when their vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic on Nisqualli Road, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release said Monday.
The crash happened about 9:40 p.m. near First Avenue.
Witnesses said that a Chevrolet Impala was traveling east when it crossed into westbound traffic and struck a Nissan Murano. The Impala’s passenger side was hit, and the Impala continued through a fence and into the property of the Casa Bella Apartments.
Deputies arrived to find two men dead in the front seat of the Impala. Their names had not been released as of Monday morning.
A woman and two minors in the Murano were taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
