VIDEO: Giant crane crashes at Dallas Museum of Art

Duque Law - Personal Injury Lawyers

DALLAS —

A giant crane tipped over in Dallas, and the frightening incident was caught on surveillance video.

The Dallas Museum of Art released the footage of the collapse, which occurred while crews were setting up for an event April 3.

In the video, the crane can be seen trying to lift up the frame of a tent when it tips over.

The operator was thrown from the crane and taken to the hospital.

The crane just missed crushing an iconic sculpture by Mark di Suvero that’s on the museum’s south lawn.

Another crane had to be used to haul away the fallen crane.

The crane hit part of the museum’s building, but didn’t cause any major damage.
