WILDOMAR: Crash leaves three trapped, injured

A three-car crash Monday, Sept. 21, in Wildomar left three people trapped inside of their vehicles, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department news release.
The crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. Monday on Bundy Canyon Road north of the Interstate 15 onramp, the news release said. The crash caused “minor delays” for westbound traffic on Bundy Canyon Road.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not disclosed in the news release. However, officials said neither alcohol nor drugs are considered factors in the crash.
A 2015 maroon Kia Optima, a 2006 blue Infiniti G35 and a 2006 white Toyota Tacoma were involved in the crash, the news release said. The Kia Optima’s male driver and female passenger, both of South Carolina, “suffered multiple injuries” in the crash and were extricated by Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department firefighters. The driver of the Infiniti G35, a Wildomar man, also had to be extricated from the crash, the news release said.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, a Menifee man, was not injured, according to the news release.
The people who suffered injuries were transported via ambulance to a hospital to be treated for their injuries.
