YUCAIPA: Hwy. 38 crash injures 7

Seven people — including two children — were hurt when a pickup truck ran off a mountain highway and plunged down an embankment in the foothills above� Yucaipa, say San Bernardino County Fire Department officials.
The wreck was reported at 6:22 p.m. along Highway 38 roughly two miles northeast of Bryant Street, between Yucaipa and the turnoff to the mountain town of Forest Falls according to the California Highway Patrol website.
Preliminary reports described the truck as a Chevy pickup.
“It went 30 to 40 feet over the side,” said fire department spokeswoman Tracey Martinez.
The circumstances of the accident were not immediately available.� The CHP is investigating.
