SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) --
A 25-year-old woman was killed and a second person hospitalized following a crash on the westbound 105 Freeway in South Los Angeles early Thursday morning, authorities said.
The two-car collision occurred near Central Avenue around 2:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene by responding firefighters. The second victim was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
Investigators are working to determine if speed or alcohol may have played a role in the crash. At least three lanes remain blocked on the westbound 105 Freeway. They're expected to reopen between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.
